Kano govt asks parents to pray for corps members: Kano State governor, Dr Musa Kwankwanso, has called on parents and guardians of corps members posted to the state for orientation programme to join the state government in prayers for their safety, saying prayers is the only weapon to ensure the security of their lives and property. According to him,the state is enjoying peaceful co-existence as the government is providing all necessary logistics to ensure that no negative occurence threatens the relative peace prevailing in the state. Speaking on behalf of the governor at the opening of swearing in ceremony of corps member, Batch ‘A’ the Commissioner for Information, Professor Farouk Jibril,assured the 1,900 corps members posted to the state for the orientation of adequate security. He, however, charged the corps members to be security conscious wherever they are posted to. According to him, only Allah could ensure mankind’s adequate security, hence the need for us to pray to Him because we can only try our own bit.”
