Kansas City has a new showcase dedicated to featuring National Spoken Word Poets, Pound Presents! This Saturday, June 28 at 8 pm is the debut for this innovative and progressive event which will feature not only talented artists from around the country but some of our local best and brightest will be spotlighted as well. Our first feature will include the extremely talented and accomplished, internationally acclaimed, Detroit-based poet Deonte Osayande. He has been voted one of the top 5 poets in the Midwest and is currently in the running for the National Poetry Awards title of Slam Artist of the Year! For all of the poets, supporters and fans of dope poetry in town you can not miss this show. Dont be the one asking about it, be the one telling about. See you Saturday.
