Karen Kay Walker feeling heartbroken Yesterday at 6:05am · For the month of November everyday I was posting what I was thankful for. Today it is not as easy. What comes easy to my heart today is that I am thankful last night my son came home last night. However there are too many other mothers who cannot say the same thing. My hearts and prayers go out to them. We as a people have to be accountable for our actions. It is time to take this awful situation and come together as one. Let Black Friday be just that BLACK FRIDAY. Dont shop. Stay home. Pray with your families. Unfortunately the one thing that this nation does respond to is $$$. We count we have to let them feel it. #letsstoptalkingboutitandbeaboutit. God bless MO. God bless this nation. God bless us all. Kim Walkers remarks: That was a heart felt commentary on what black mother’s have to deal with esp. with regard to their sons. Imagine; mother’s who have sons who join the military and they go off to war. Right here in America black mothers have to contend with the same dilemma as solider moms. Come on black men step up to the plate and help guide your sons. The community should band together and create our own economic and political power base. We need to vote and make those elected officials accountable to us on a daily basis. We need to build our own business. We need to stop voting for one party all the time and approach Republicans, Democrats, Liberals, Libertarians and Conservatives and lay out our goals and aspirations. Make them work for you. Right now we just react from crisis to crisis. That is the only way we can control the police and rid ourselves of the thugs who prey on our people.
