Karen, you have your Dads talents and he loved you very much! He loved the law and I loved to watch him beat high powered Houston lawyers, who thought he was dumb. He fought for his clients and never took cases defending child or animal cruelty. He would never defend someone parking in a handicap spot who wasnt handicapped. He fought for veterans and the poor pro bono. He wasnt out to get rich, but to help his fellow men. He wore three hats, Judge, Prosecutor and Defense Lawyer and with his honesty, played each part well. He always did what was right. Policemen, court personnel, etc. would curse him when he dismissed cases, but they learned to do their job properly and honestly and eventually had admiration for him. He was a strong man of faith and he lived and died his faith! For now, I have him tucked away in my heart until I can be with him again. I feel so blessed to have had him as my husband.
