Karma much? The other day, I spent a few hours searching for the owner of an iphone I found so I could return it! I found her and returned the phone to her. She kindly showed her appreciation by bringing my a 6 pack of beer and a box of chocolate. Awesome! But wait, theres more! Earlier today, I randomly found 2 $20 bills on the ground without anyone around for me to return them to, so I kept them. Just now, a slightly well-dressed, well-groomed man approached me at Wendys to ask for money. He said he had been homeless for the past 2 weeks and that he recently got hired for a construction job but needed money to buy steel-toed boots and that he was $15 short. I reached into my pocket and grabbed the two 20s I found and handed them to him. His eyes got big and welled up with tears as he thanked me. While I feel bad for the person who lost the $40, Im pretty sure this man needed it way more than either of us. I hope he does indeed use it to buy boots. Im glad that I was able to help someone out on the last day of the year. Happy New Year!
