Fight to save lovely Mariko from the evil warlord Akuma & reunite her with her True Love! Gameplay-wise, Karateka received a major overhaul. Your fights with warlord’s henchmen are still one-on-one, & you still need to block attacks efficiently before answering in turn. However, blocking & punching requires you to adhere to rhythm & patterns. It is easy to get sucked into game’s heartbeat, though all of the punching & kicking gets bit repetitive after a while.
