Kashmir: Army killed youth for revenge, says NC Terming the killing of two youth in north Kahsmir’s Bandipora district as unfortunate, senior National Conference leader Dr Shiekh Mustafa Kamal described it as “revenge killings”. “Army has taken revengeby killing these two innocent youth. Their 8 men were killed in shootout and now they have murdered two innocent youth which for me is nothing but revenge,” Kamal said adding that the spree of killings would continue till contentious AFSPA exists in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Kamal said that it is surprising that the Army personnel did not retaliate when their 8 menwere killed by militants near Hyderpora and now they have acted during the dead of night to squeeze the blood of the two innocent Kashmiri youth. “It is a sheepish act on part of the Army and everyone must condemn it. Army has killed so many youth from last 20 years and its not new. AFSPA is shielding them, once it will get revoked, killers will face the music,” he said. Kamal further said that Army is opposing the revocation of AFSPA because it fully knows that all its men have to appear before the Court of Law for their misdeeds and repression. Rural Development Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar told CNS that no body is above law and whosoever is involved in these gruesome killings must be brought to justice. “Police must register murder cases against the guilty. It is very unfortunate and I condemn these killings by heart,” he said adding that if somebody has done wrong, he must be punished. ®owner®
