Kashmir: Curfew lifted, life limps back to normal in Pulwama Srinagar: Life is limping back to normal in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where curfew was imposed early on Saturday morning after a local militant Aijaz Ahmad was killed in an encounter with security forces at village Kangan, 2 km from the main town. Curfew restrictions were lifted late on Saturday evening, official sources said. Additional security forces deployed in the town to strictly implement the restrictions were withdrawn. The restrictions were imposed by District Magistrate, Pulwama, fearing protests after the militant was killed in the night-long operation. Troops of 55 Rashitriya Rifles, state police and CRPF had launched a joint operation at Kangan village on Thursday evening following tip off about the presence of two militants. Sources said one of the militant managed to escape from the cordoned off area under the cover of darkness
