Kashmir is not India’s internal problem, Pakistan is an important party to the issue: Shabir Shah JUNE 29: Reacting sharply to the statement of Salman Khurshid, democratic Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah said that Khurshid should see the history of Kashmir so that he may come to know that kashmir during its history was never part of India. “When India came into existence as an independent nation the fight against the illegal occupation of india on kashmir is going on. If kashmir was their internal problem then India’s first prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru would not have taken the kashmir issue to the United Nations,” shah said. Shah said that it is lie that kashmir is their integral part and said that like they have accepted and feel ashamed for the mass rape in Kunanposhpora after 22 years, I believe that they will accept their military occupation and feel ashamed. ‘Kashmiri’s have been fighting a political struggle against the occupation of india. To suppress that india has martyred 5 lakh people, arrested thousands of people, and the process is still continuing. India has snatched our freedom and are killing us when we demand azadi. India is putting us in jails and indulging in human rights violations. On the other hand Pakistan is supporting us at political, diplomatic and moral levels,” Shah said. He said that that statement of Salman Khurshid that nobody should interfere in the kashmir means that that they want to destroy kashmir from the world map and occupy our lands. “They want that Pakistan should not raise their voice about the oppression we are facing. We condemn this intellectual bankruptcy. Pakistan is a party to the kashmir dispute,” he added. Freedom party chairman was today to visit S K Colony Islamabad, where police on June 29, 2010 martyred Imtiyaz Ahmad Itoo, Shujatul islam and ishtyaq Ahmad Khanday at a same place. However police didn’t allowed him and out him under house arrest. Referring to the martyrdom of youngsters in 2008, 09 and 2010 at the same place, shah said that the sacrifices will never go waste. “The nation will continue its political struggle till the kashmir issue is resolved as per the wishes of the martyrs,” he said. He also paid tributes to Imtiyaz Ahmad Itoo, Shujatul Islam, whose father was martyred in 1996, ishtyaq Ahmad Khanday and all other martyrs who laid down their lives from 1947. Shah sahib also criticized the government for not arresting the people involved in the murder of three youth and said that the killers are moving freely. He also hailed the people of Islamabad for observing shutdown today in remembrance of the three youth and said that the people of Islamabad have always kept the freedom movement alive.
