Kashmir: shutdown in Tral after Mujahids killing. A day after a top militant was killed, the people in South Kashmirs Tral township are observing a spontaneous shutdown, residents said on Sunday. They said shops and other market establishments are closed while public transport is off the roads. There is tension in the region particularly after yesterdays protest, a resident said. People had clashed with the police after the killing of the militant who was a foreigner and had torched two armoured vehicles on Saturday. Residents had not relented till the body of the militant was handed over to them in Aripal village of the township. His funeral prayers was held many times and people had clashed even among themselves over the site of his burial.
