Kashmir under curfew, internet services restored Srinagar: Authorities on Friday imposed strict curfew across Kashmir to thwart any protest against the killing of civilians by BSF in Gool area of Ramban district on Thursday. Curfew was clamped across Kashmir early in the morning. Religious groups and separatists had called for protests across the Valley after Friday prayers. Heavy contingents of the police and the CRPF erected barricades across Srinagar in a pre-dawn operation. Spools of concertina wires were unrolled in parts of the old city to restrict the movement of vehicles. Meanwhile, the authorities restored internet services in the Valley late on Friday, six hours after it was suspended. Following the Ramban firing, authorities had suspended internet services on mobile phones and dongle appliances in the Valley, while internet speed on broadband facilities were reduced.
