Kasim Hafeez, a Muslim human rights activist who used to be in radical Islamist circles, joins together with Father Gabriel Naddaf, the head of the Greek Orthodox community in Israel, and Holocaust survivor Irving Roth in order to call upon American college students to support the State of Israel. Hafeez emphasized that people should support Israel because it is the furthest outpost of democratic values and the only democracy in the Middle East. Father Naddaf stressed that he knows of Syrian Christians who would want to live in Israel because it is a country that grants Christians human rights. He noted that in Syria, Christians are facing genocide. And Irving Roth proclaimed that you won’t find a single sign in Israel declaring that a place is for Jews only, but you will find that over 30% of the students at Haifa University are Arab. Hafeez stressed that the reason there is no peace in the Middle East is not because of the lack of the existence of a Palestinian state, but there is violence due to the fact that Israel exists as a Jewish state. Irving Roth added that while it is true that the radical Islamists hate Israel, it is critical to note that for them, Israel is merely the little Satan while the big Satan is the United States of America. Therefore, radical Islam is a threat to all of humanity. For these reasons, they call upon American college students to take a stand for Israel because they represent the future.
