Some highlights... Hes 40 this year and Im 40 next – thats weird. Isnt that weird? He wouldn’t have a joint party with me, he really wouldnt, Kate reveals about her longtime pal Leonardo DiCaprio. Definitely not. He likes to have his moments… but also I dont think Id want to have a joint party with him, more to the bloody point! A fair point to be sure. By the way, have you ever wondered how the two A-list actors have gotten along so famously after nearly two decades? I think the reason that friendship works is because there was never any romantic thing, Kate explains. He always saw me as one of the boys; Ive never really been a girly-girl. We needed each other to lean on because we were very young and working all kinds of crazy bloody hours and it was a shock to the system. Of course, these days its not all about 18-hour days on set: Kate has parenting duties as well. And shes got a few opinions on balancing motherhood and film work. Weve heard a lot from actresses recently about how difficult it is, Kate says. But we should never be saying that its difficult because we are so bloody lucky. Its just not an ok thing to share.
