Kate and I had a good day today. She drank another 10 mls from her cup. Which was fantastic. Her uncle Micheal and his wife Monica came to see us today. It is great that Kate is getting to know her family. She only had eyes for her uncle today though. I think the resemblance to her daddy helped create the attachment she had for him. It was so lovely to see her hugging and kissing him and not being afraid. Thank you to them for helping me pass another day in hospital. Kate is developmentally delayed so I need to do physiotherapy with her daily. This is always done in the form of play. I find it difficult because I know what Kate needs to do to progress but she has her own strong mind and If she does not want to do something she gets upset and can be very close to having an episode. Today I managed to help Kate do three stands and go onto her hands and knees three times. Progress takes a long time but I do believe Kate will walk at some stage. I am so proud of her. X
