Łowicka 21, Warsaw Entry free ANUJ MISHRA Anuj Mishra belongs to the thirteenth generation of famous traditional family of musicians, gharana of Varanasi. His forefather Late Shri Shiv Kishore Mishra was renowned sarangi player. His grandfather Late Shri Nanhu Mishra was a famous tabla mastero and his father Pt. Arjun Mishra is a very famous and renowned Kathak guru, dancer and choreographer, who learned under Late Shri Ramnarayan Mishra in Kolkata and great legend Padmavibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj. The training of Anuj Mishra started at age of 17 after graduating high school, as he was busy in studies at early age and his father was touring all over the world for performances. Anuj also learned tabla under the guidance of Pt. Ravinath Mishra and vocal by Ustad Gulshan Bharati. Anuj performed Kathak in all major dance festivals and events in India and abroad. He worked with many dance companies and renowned choreographers as Karine Saporta, Mallika Sarabhai, Kumudini Lakhia, Rukmini Chaterjee, Lata Pada and others. He won several national and international dance competitions, and is a national gold medalist, he also got prestigious title of Shringarmani and Nritya Kawomudhi. He performed in big festivals like Sawai Gandharva, Lucknow Mahotsava, Taj Mahotsava, Kathak Mahotsava, Konark Dance Festival, Kalaghoda Festival, and also performed in many countries, like France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, England, Canada, Israel, Lebanon, Martinique, Guadalupe etc. He is getting more and more opportunities for performances in India and abroad. She has been training under Pt. Arjun Mishra, leading Guru, dancer and choreographer of Kathak (Lucknow Gharana) for the last 5 years.
