Katherine FitzGerald made the following claims about Sierra Leoneans and I tend to agree. She wrote: In the land of mass illiteracy and relentless prose, Sierra Leoneans are brilliant intellectuals and poets. In Sierra Leone, moving, and lofty ideas rarely morph into tangible solutions. The people are experts at envisioning progress, but not accomplishing it. The civil war has ended, but there is a new and, in many ways, more exquisite idealism and rampant corruption. Unfortunately, idealism is pacifist by nature, while corruption is militant. Sierra Leone remains a combat zone where fallen ideals have traded places with the bodies and appendages that once littered the battle field. Corruption, now, is the weapon of mass destruction (unquote). To me this is fact. If you disagree with her why?
