Kathleen Houston 1 hr · The president of Judicial Watch said that the Obama vacations to faraway and often expensive locations put undue pressure on taxpayers’ pocketbooks. “The Obamas are abusing the public trust and the taxpayers with unnecessary luxurious vacations and travel,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “These staggering costs show why these documents were covered up and we had to sue in federal court to get them. Another transparency fail for the Obama gang.” A likely result of the latest Hawaii trip for the Obamas will be another media round of “which president has taken more vacation time away from the White House?” And while debates will no doubt arise over numbers of vacation days, it can still be argued that the Obamas have spent more time at lavish and expensive getaways than did predecessors, such has: Reagan, who often went to his California ranch; George H.W.
