Kathmandu-Illam-Pashupatinagar Tour Illam is a small hilly town with pristine landscapes of sloped tea gardens, thick natural forests, holy sites and unique culture. Altitude: 1592 m Best Seasons: Spring/ Autumn Tour Style: Hotel Itinerary Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel On arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by Honest Tours and Travels’ representative and promptly transferred to your designated hotel. After checking in at the hotel, you can either take a break or hang around in the city premises depending on your interest and time constraint. In the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion, and a concise introduction with your tour guide. Here you have all opportunities to ask questions related to the tour program. Overnight stay arrangements at a designated hotel. Day 02: Flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur After breakfast our representative will take you to the Tribhuwan International Airport prior to your flight time from where you will board the flight to Bhadrapur. Day 03: Drive from Bhadrapur to Pashupatinagar (Illam) On arrival at Bhadrapur,you will be driven to Illam which is about 4 hours drive. There you will be transferred to a hotel where you can relax for a while before exploring Illam. Overnight stay at the hotel. Day 04, 5 & 6 : Sightseeing in Illam & Pashupatinagar After breakfast for three consecutive days, we will look around places in Illam. Antu Danda offers spectacular sunrise, sunset and views of the Himalayas. Mai Pokhari is a pristine lake amid natural forest. The pond surrounded by the thick forest of fir, juniper, birch and pine is home to a variety of flora and fauna. Sandakpur at 3,636 meters on the international Nepal-India borderline provides majestic view of the Himalayas, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Kumbhakarna, Mt. Makalu, and Mt Everest. Kanyam and Fikkal have large estates for which Illam has been famous for the last 140 years. These tea plantation areas are popular among tourists for picnicking, sightseeing, and taking photographs. Siddhi Thumka offers good views of sunrise and sunset from its elevation of 1800 meters. Chhintapu at 3,400 meters is the second highest peak in Illam district. The area has natural rich forests of rhododendron, herbal plants and various species of birds. Besides these are: Narayansthan in Illam Bazaar, where a special festival takes place on Krishna Asthami; Bhimsensthan near Ilam Chowk; Singha Bahini in South Illam, with a beautiful garden in the temple complex; Sati Devi Temple, on Puwa Khola west of Illam Bazaar, which is a cultural, religious and magnificent site for domestic as well as other tourists. Day 07: Drive from Illam to Bhadrapur airport (flight to Kathmandu) On completion of our tour in the far east, we will drive to Bhadrapur from where we will catch an afternoon flight to Kathmandu, where you will be transferred to your hotel room. Evening time is your leisure time, you can either go around for shopping or relax at the hotel room. Day 08: Final Departure Today our airport representative will make a departure transfer to the Kathmandu airport to board international flight for your onward destination
