Kaththi has a problematic packaging but makes a solid impact with the strong subject the movie conveys. Kudos to Murugadoss for bringing up an important social issue and giving it the best reach by blending it into a mass film. (Though he has miles to go to do it the way Shankar sir does it). Anirudhs music is brilliant and is the backbone of the film. The song by Yesudas is moving and will stay with you for a long time. One of Vijays best performances yet. The preachy yet impactful speech in the second half was delivered in style by him. Neil Nitin Mukesh made a great, handsome villain even though he got very little screen time. Samantha neither seemed attractive nor had anything substantial to do except to dance and even her dance wasnt very appealing. Same goes for Sathish, the comedy was very flat. But the rest of the movie makes up for it being a very engaging watch.
