Kathy and I drove over to Camas to visit with Phil this morning. He was (of course) watching a football game on the television. He saw us and promptly turned off the set. We had a good visit. He is still speaking in 1 or 2 word sentences. If he cant get the thought out, he just signals an Oh Well. It is very easy to converse with him because he understands everything. He indicated that he was getting some feeling in his left leg, nothing in his left arm yet.. He has hopes of getting out of there and returning home but doesnt know when. He knows that the house will have to be readied for him and a lot of other things before he gets to go home. He continues with physical therapy every day. He is no longer eating in his room. He wheels down to the cafeteria for his meals. He was full of smiles and is doing well. He is a strong, strong man, in many ways.
