Katie and I were discussing and reflecting on 2014, she called it a terrible year, I preferred the word eventful and I can say it was one of the most eventful years in my life, so if you dont mind I will relay the year to my family and friends... The year started with the passing of my mother in law on Jan. 3rd and will end today with the funeral of my daughter in laws 30 year old brother. In between I was lucky enough to put my feet into the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans while visiting family. My father in law had a stroke and was admitted to an assisted living facility in Tennessee where he is recovering and doing well. Katie was diagnosed with a golf ball size tumor and had brain surgery that went very well, after coming home she had a severe drop in her sodium level and I was within minutes of losing my wife, she still has some issues, which I tease her is her being a blonde, but is doing well. My cousin had open heart surgery that went well. My nephew had open heart surgery that ended up being a miracle, A good friend had a minor throat surgery and ended up losing his voice, with lengthy and painful rehab I am happy to say he is now able to talk and sing and my sister had a hip replacement. My daughter became single and my son became engaged. Yes, a lot of terrible things happened, including some that I didnt mention, but a lot of them had great outcomes, it was eventful. For the most part this was our year, thank you for listening and we are hoping for a less eventful 2015. Happy New Year to all of you, friends and especially family.
