Katies procedure went well this morning, and it looks like we can take her home today :) She has not complained of stomach pain today, so of course we will be watching that closely. Her doctor feels she is well enough, otherwise they would keep her longer. Just recently, Katie got a visit from her grandparents....her Pa Paw was recently transferred to Tampa awaiting a heart transplant, and it has been killing him to be down there while Katie has been sick. Luckily, his doctors know of the situation, and gave him the all clear to come back here to visit for a couple of days, and Katie instantly perked up when she saw them. This is probably the most life shes had in her since weve been here. Thankfully, if a heart becomes available in Tampa while my father in law is here, a very generous person has offered their services toward an Angel Flight, and would fly him back to Tampa immediately. To whoever that person is....thank you, whether or not he needs to be flown down or not, it is a comfort to know that it is available. Katie is very close with her grandfather, and has said several times while she has been in here how worried she is for him. Hopefully, the two of them will be better soon and be able to enjoy each others company again :)
