Katumbi Praises Kalaba for CAF Nomination TP Mazembe owner Moses Katumbi says he is happy three of his players have made the shortlist for the best local based African Football of the Year. And Zambia’s only nominee Rainford Kalaba says the nomination for the second year running was a humbling recognition. “I would like to that CAF for recognising my qualities as a player. It’s not easy to be among the best in Africa,” Kalaba said. “It shows that I am doing well and I am proving to people that I deserve to be nominated.” He added: “Last year I was in the final of the same award and even this year, I would like to be in the finals. After that, anything is possible. “It’s always good as a player to be nominated for these individual awards. I know that there are good players am competing with but once I am in the final, anything is possible.” And Katumbi said “I am happy that three of my players have been nominated for Caf awards.It shows that we are good club and doing great things not only in Congo but the SADC region.” Kalaba and his club mates Samata Mbwana and Tresor Mputu have made the shortlist that also has reigning holder Mohammed Aboutrika. zambiareports/2013/11/18/katumbi-praises-kalaba-for-caf-nomination/
