Kayla went back to KC today for her Dr. Appointment with Dr. Rosenthaw. Hes decided to not place her back under as shes only got about 4 inches before her leg is straight. He said its going to take awhile but with blood, sweat, and tears shes gonna get there. PT hurts but thats what its supposed to do, so tears are ok. I guess that means Ill not be able to sit with her while shes getting stretched. Anyway in three months he would like the walker gone, and her to be on her own. Its not gonna be perfect, but better then now. Shes gonna have falls, its gonna hurt, but no pain no gain. I dont think Kayla cared for this appointment. Naturally when you have pain you pamper it. Kayla is tight in the tendons and the only way to fix it is to stretch it. Also chemo slows the process down, but her last scheduled chemo is done. Shes home tonight, but the ride home was tearful. Shes already hurting and not understanding why she has to hurt more. The nerves in her foot are not working, so its hard to tell anything for her as she dont feel. Im praying it all works itself out, and shes well by March. March 2015 Kayla has a date with Disney. Exciting yes, now its just a push, as its a ton of walking. She and her family has a all expense vacation they will be taking if she can go. Thanks to her Cancer Counselor and Make a Wish! Ive been there, and I know she will love it. Please pray her leg lets her go. We are going to be doing PT in the pool ever other day as well. Walking forwards, and backwards across the pool. After the dork is done then she can play a bit. Its going to be a lot of hard work and dedication but I know the Lord is watching over her, and touching her as I speak. Doc also said 90% of it is mental. The leg feels different, and is different, but she will learn to use it, and do anything she wants to do. Thats great news!! Kaylas going back to Childrens mercy the 12 th and 13 th for scans. He scanned the leg today and she has NO CANCER In her leg...Amen so very exciting news for sure, miracles happening all the time, blessings pouring in.
