Kazakhstan returned to Goals tonight and wore their new yellow strips in the first league game of the season. In a poor start the News Team took the lead and Kaz were trying too hard to get straight back on level terms, snatching at shots from difficult positions. Barney hauled us level though and we went on to control the rest of the half, ending with Beeston firing us into a 2-1 lead. The second half was dominated by Kaz, who were 6-1 up before conceding a late goal. That being said, Stevie Udale made numerous quality saves.
