Gunmen with explosives and rocket-propelled grenades attacked a police station in Nigeria’s restive northeast, killing two officers and injuring another in an incident similar to previous raids by Islamist extremists, Boko Haram, authorities said Thursday. “The heavily armed gunmen headed to the police station and burnt it down using IEDs (improvised explosive devices) and RPGs before engaging our men in a shootout in which we lost two officers while a third sustained gunshot wounds,” Adamawa state police spokesman Mohammed Ibrahim told AFP. 2.6 Fake LASTMA Officials Arrested. Six fake officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, have been arrested by the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit. They were caught while allegedly extorting money from motorists in Lagos Mainland, Lagos, southwest Nigeria. Also arrested in Oshodi are 13 under-aged hoodlums. They were all brought to the taskforce office at Alausa in a Black Maria. 3.Thunder strikes 4 persons dead . Four persons were killed on Friday when thunder struck at Mechanic Village in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, central Nigeria. A witness said the incident occurred at Bukan-Sidi around 7:05 p.m. when the four men were about leaving their workshop following a downpour. According to the witness, when the deceased noticed that it was about to rain, they decided to lockup their workshop and go home, but before they could leave the workshop thunder struck @kbaba_wazobiafm
