Keegan-Michael Key Joins the Cast of ‘Vacation’ Reboot with Ed Helms Not too long after updating the progress of the Police Academy reboot and revealing that Paramount Pictures is developing a film about the Key & Peele sketch character substitute teacher Mr. Garvey, one half of the comedic duo has a new big screen gig. Variety reports Keegan-Michael Key has just joined the cast of New Line’s Vacation reboot, the pseudo-sequel to the original National Lampoon’s Vacation from 1983. The Comedy Central star is joining Ed Helms as Rusty Griswold, son of Clark & Ellen Griswold (Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo are reprising their roles), as he takes his own family on a trip to Wally World. The rest of the cast includes Christina Applegate as Rusty’s wife and Leslie Mann as his sister Audrey, with Chris Hemsworth playing her husband.
