Keenan Update: Well, here we are! Back at U of M. Today is the day Keenan gets his chemo port placement. It will make the coming treatments easier to administer, but hes not real happy to be getting the port. :-( He also will be having a spinal tap to make sure the cancer hasnt spread to other areas. Luckily he will be sedated for the procedures today, but first we have to get through - THAT I.V.!!!!! Of course he has to have one, and that is the biggest thing upsetting him now. He didnt like it last time - and he sure doesnt want one today.... Tomorrow will be easier. He is scheduled to have baseline hearing and vision tests. They will check those throughout the course of his treatment. Since coming home after surgery he has been just taking it easy. Bright lights and loud noises still bother him. Thats to be expected with this type of surgery. His nausea is less common now, but he still gets a little motion sickness, especially with long car rides. ( he hasnt wanted to travel anywhere ) He did good on the ride down here this morning though... He does like having company, ( usually - depending how he feels ) so thank you to the folks who have stopped by to see him! Sterling, MI. 48659. - Hes sometimes shy about people fussing over him. He doesnt like all the attention. But mail is safe - something he can open and enjoy when HE wants to. There is so much of his life that he cant control right now, so its those little things that make a difference to him. Thanks for all your prayers and continued support.
