Keep an eye on the sky tomorrow! From the University Police: June 12, 2013 8:50 PM The Salisbury University Police Department has received the following weather advisory from the Wicomico County Department of Emergency Services regarding the approaching storm system: Thunderstorm activity is expected from mid afternoon Thursday until late Thursday evening. The heaviest period of the storms is expected between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe and produce large hail, damaging winds with gusts to 70+ miles per hour and isolated tornadoes. Up to one inch of rain is forecast with isolated areas of 2 inches. Citizens are encouraged to monitor weather throughout the day Thursday until the storms pass. Residents of mobile homes should be prepared to relocate to secure structures if necessary. Outside items such as patio furniture, trash cans or other objects that can become flying projectiles during the storm should be secured. Travel during the storm should be limited and remain indoors until the storm passes. We will continue to monitor developments and update the campus community. Chief Edwin L.
