Keep it short and sweet. Cardio doesn’t, and shouldn’t be, 50 minutes on the Stairmaster or a jog on a treadmill. Hit it quick, hard, and get out… We’re all busy and can use more time in the day… A way more effective workout is interval training. We all have goals of staying lean, healthy, and functional, right? This is the way to do it. Females, especially, almost always fall into the trap of doing a ton of cardio and wonder why the end up looking “soft”. Interval training has a greater effect on calorie burn AFTER the workout. Use short bursts of intense exercise followed by a rest period. Like spiriting, battle ropes and intense weight training, etc. Drop the slow, monotonous, and boring elliptical sessions and hit the track. It’s more fun anyway and you can save time. Who has a better physique- marathon runners or sprinters? And further more, long distance runners usually have a lot of imbalances and injuries from doing the same movement over and over and over again.. However, I wouldn’t recommend sprinting if you just started exercising or have any injuries. Instead, pick up the battle ropes and 30 seconds of intense “work” followed by a minute of rest. Ropes are low impact that anyone can do. Do this for 5x and tell me how you feel… BePRYMAL
