Keeping with the theme of making 15th century reenactment - TopicsExpress

Keeping with the theme of making 15th century reenactment glorious, I have striven to stock my pavilion with correct period furniture and tapestries, which we know decorated tents of the period. When I lived in Germany I would constantly travel to European flea markets searching for period style furniture and camp gear. The tapestries were a greater challenge as there are virtually no reproductions of those of this period. I made these by taking good photos of original in museums, and then digitally restoring the damage to the textiles. then they were sent off to those companies that make throw rugs from your favorite photographs and they came out quite well. Besides the Burgundian one behind the chair, the rest are all mid-15th century probably made in Basel, but ended up scattered all over Western Europe. I think there are eight in all that ring the pavilion, which is about 30 feet in diameter. Some of you may recognize the pavilion if you have been in the hobby long enough, Ive taken it to events all over Europe, though it never made it to GB. Its been back in the U.S for about ten years now (Kentucky, actually, where this photo was taken at an authentic-only medieval event called The Days of Knights, which we hold every year. It is copied from one in a 15th Century Burgundian Book of Hours.
