Keira had another great day at school today! She has been so full of energy and spunk I just love it! So, I was surprised when we got her blood counts back tonight...hemoglobin 5.6, platelets 10 and ANC 130:( for those of you who dont know what the numbers mean here are normal counts for you to compare with...Normal ranges- hemoglobin 11.5-15.5, platelets 140-350 and for her ANC- 3,000-5,000, anything under 500 makes her neutropenic. So, no more school and straight to the cancer center first thing in the morning for blood and platelets. Please pray her counts recover quickly so we can stay on track for chemo for next week. Here is a picture from today...as you can see she doesnt look at all like her counts would be so low! She is so strong...#keirastrong!
