Keith Maddox I seem to remember that "Bush did it all wrong". He went at it alone with no alliances. We were alienating the US from the rest of the world. We were creating enemies everywhere and we had lost the respect of the entire world community. Our new leader was going to use diplomacy. Meet with other leaders and work out our differences. It started with an apology tour in early 2009, and has spiraled downhill ever since. The reality of world diplomacy is now setting in with President Obama and all the promises about a new US world position is coming true. Russia mocks us. Syria does not fear us. Iran is closer and closer to being a nuclear power. Israel has lost faith in us and for good reason. Afghanistan is a bust. And, we are just as hated by the radical muslim world as we ever were. So, almost 5 years in, can someone tell me how we have improved the US position internationally???
