Keith Richard Powell is 2 yrs old. He was born with short bowel syndrome and needs five organ transplant. Because he was healthy at first he was not placed on a list for transplant. His health is now deteriorated. On Jan 1st he was admitted with a temp of 104.9 to Levine Childrens Hospital. He has rhino virus along with para influenza type 3, basically lesser version of the flu. He has pneumonia and upper respiratory. His nose, mouth, and g-tube site are bleeding. His platelets are now 79k. When he first was admitted they were 120k went to 49k before a transfusion. It has been a long road for this family and they still have a long way to go. The hospital is now contacting Childrens of Cincinnati to have him put on the list as his liver is now starting to fail him. PLEASE I ASK THAT EACH AND EVERYONE WHO READS THIS WILL PRAY FOR THIS LITTLE GUY. THROUGH IT ALL HE KEEPS SMILING.
