Kelly Boswell (KA5MGL) and I Went up to the Woolverton Mountain - TopicsExpress

Kelly Boswell (KA5MGL) and I Went up to the Woolverton Mountain repeater site today. Turned the repeater off. (waited 30 seconds) Turned repeater on. -- Instantly started operating normally again with full audio. SO... not satisfied this time with the fact that simple cycling seemed to make the machine happy, we have the repeater back down from the hill to see if we can discover / replicate the conditions that CAUSE this to happen in the first place at our will in the lab so to speak. While the repeater is co-located in AETNs hut and (the hut) is on full time surge suppression and conditioning and generator backup... THEIR equipment is also on batteries where this particular machine is not. (Or at least, not YET. This may very well change.) So, at the moment, we suspect that either we have a controller that is starting to get cranky or possible intermittent power conditions that are making it act that way. Long story short: the 444.100 is offline / off the hill until such time as we decide to take it back. General experimentation and sleuthing to follow.
