Ken Fielding has posted this photo of BAF - British Air Ferries V.802 series Viscount G-AOHM taken at Ringway, Manchester, England January 1990. This Viscount was built for BEA - British European Airways as G-AOHM and first flew on Thursday, 30 May 1957 at Weybridge, Surrey, England powered by Rolls-Royce Dart 510 engines. During its life it was also owned and/or operated by BA - British Airways, BAF - British Air Ferries, Air Algerie, BAF Air Tours, Loganair, Manx Airlines, BWA - British World Airlines, Airwing 2000 Ltd., Interflight, and Transtel. Its fate:- While being operated by Transtel as 3D-OHM it was damaged beyond repair after an aborted takeoff at Ndjamena, Tchad 24 July 2001. Possibly scrapped in 2003. Robert S Grant collections photo of the same aircraft while being operated by Transtel as 3D-OHM was taken at Ndjamena, Tchad in February 2002. Roberts aircraft was parked next to the Viscount but he felt that it was unwise to venture any closer or around the other side as the armed guards sitting in the shade did not look very friendly! The starboard inner propeller blades appear to be curled slightly from the aborted takeoff incident.
