KenCo News would like to take a moment this morning and remember a special man that went the distance to serve our country and our community. E.J. Putnam Sr. of Browder passed away on December 31. Mr. Putnam was 88 years old and served our country as a soldier in the United States Army, during World War II. Mr. Putnam, known as Buddy to family and friends, was a special man, having left a legacy of good children, grandchildren, and more. We have heard nothing but good things about Buddy. As most know, the staff of KenCo News are avid supporters of our local soldiers. Buddy was a prime example of the American soldier. He had a good heart and solid moral values. Buddy, on behalf of our staff, our county, and our country, we thank you for all that you gave to keep us safe and free. Rest in peace, our Hero. You will be missed. Details of Mr. Putnam’s funeral can be seen at garysfuneralhome.net/index.php/obituaries/493-ej-buddy-putnam-sr
