Kente (DSK) Rejects Taraba PDP Guber Primaries Outcome A PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Taraba State, Chief David Sabo Kente has dissociated himself and his supporters from the governorship primary election conducted at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja last week. Addressing newsmen in Abuja yesterday, Chief Kente noted that the Taraba State governorship primary election, which took place in Abuja, was to say the least, far from being free and fair. “We are expressing our disappointment with what played out at our party’s secretariat, which was meant to be a democratic, free and fair means of electing candidates who would be our party’s bearers for various elective posts in Taraba State. Unfortunately however, what took place was in our view, and indeed in the view of any lover, or advocate of democracy is to say the least far from being free, talk more of being fair”, he said. He explained that he is rejecting the primary election because the notice of the change in the venue of the election from Taraba State capital to Abuja was not formally served on all the contests, while the basis for the change in the venue was also not stated.
