Kentucky has a Democratic governor who, unlike his GOP counterparts in other red states, chose to implement Medicaid expansion so that poor people can get health care. Opponents of Obamacare want to claim its not working, because not enough previously uninsured people have health care under it. Essentially, their goal is to ENSURE it doesnt work by undercutting a key provision of the law, and in the process, kill people who need health care but cant afford it. The GOP has voted more than 50 times to attempt to gut the ACA without offering any kind of credible alternative. They are so disconnected from the realities of peoples lives that either they dont understand how people need health care in order to stay alive, or they dont care. Either way, politicians who use health care as a political weapon are not fit to remain in office.
