Kenyans out of all the other foreign workers should be the last to react against the recent government circular to terminate alien workers in order to pave way for national jobseekers in South Sudan. I mean, i grew up in Kenya and the only South Sudanese i saw going to work every morning were those working in SPLM office in Nairobi and now the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in Kenya. The rest of us were mostly students paying school fees, rent, or better yet contributing to their economy in various ways, creating jobs by employing (maids, watchmen, drivers etc) regardless of how poor we were during the war. That hasnt stopped, we are still buying lands and building homes in Kenya. Kenya is our home as much as South Sudan is home to some of you now. No one is chasing you out of the country, its just about time we reciprocate. Remember: We have lived in Kenya for over 3-4 decades without being granted citizenships, arresting any South Sudanese walking around without identification documents, and even South Sudanese children who were born in Kenya are still paying for visas as foreigners. #JustSaying
