Kericho county government in collaboration with Lake Victoria Environmental management project has launched a water shade conservation management project in a bid of conserving the dilapidating state of the environment in the county. Speaking during the launch of the project termed as “Tionosoyiet Integrated Wetland Management Plan” in Kericho, Kericho county Environment, water and Natural resource minister Hon. Gilbert Tuwei said Kericho county government is willing to work together with Lake Victoria Environmental Management Project (LVEMP II) to conserve the environment terming environmental conservation as a key element in human live. Present in the launch were National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) and Lake Victoria Environmental Management project officials who said they have set aside Ksh. 74 million to support the initiative.
