Kernels Top 25 of 2014 - #8 (tie) - Teenage Fanclub - Shock And Awe/Fallen Leaves At #8 on this years countdown is one of Scotlands greatest exports, Teenage Fanclub. Seeing how I have loved the band for years, it seems odd that I somehow overlooked these two gems. Fallen Leaves has a killer guitar hook and a chorus straight from heaven. Shock And Awe sounds sweet on the surface, but is in fact a lament for peace in our troubled times - Wake me when the conflict is over - I aim for a peaceful life - Shake me when this madness is no more - I favor a peaceful life. Amen my Scottish brethren, amen.
