Kerrys HHI Hoops Report: We had a nice turnout on Saturday for some hoops at Grace Church. Junior and Shomo were captains and chose the following teams: White: Junior, Bender, Quick, Scott Man-o-War, Rader, Vath Blue: Shomo, Gary, Nelly, Dr. Todd, Mighty, Dangerous Dave Blue got off to a nice start, but White made a nice comeback and won Game 1 15-12. During Game 2, Quick took a shot from the baseline that hit the rim, bounced up and hit the top of the backboard and then bounced into the basket. The bucket was disputed by Blue saying that the ball was out of bounds once it hit the top of the backboard. The bucket was disallowed. After the game, the ruling was googled and found to be incorrect. The ball should have still been in-play and the basket should have counted. Despite the controversial call, White still went on to win Game 2 15-13 on Benders game-winning shot. In Game 3, White continued with their dominance on the boards with Scott, Bender and Junior and they won 15-11. So Junior continued his streak of Daily Championship captianships, now at 3 weeks. Today it was a clean 3-0 sweep. We played an Iron Man Finale to 21 today. The late-arriving Shawn replaced Bender on White for the IMF. Blue was able to finally taste victory, but it wasnt easy. They won 21-19 on a nice putback bucket by Shomo. Thanks for playing. See everybody next week. Mighty
