Kettle 100 this year did not come as easily as last year. It was - TopicsExpress

Kettle 100 this year did not come as easily as last year. It was hot, the weather took its toll on many experienced runners, including me. Stomach issues (which was a first) slowed me down to the point I wanted to drop at mile 62. Alec was having none of that and patiently got me to the finish line just 9 minutes slower than last year (23:50). I didnt bring home a big kettle or even an age group award (5th female though!), but what I did take away from this race is the reminder that we can persevere and prevail in the midst of suffering and doubt. This was one of my proudest races to date and I am again thankful to everyone that supported me! Congratulations to everyone that put in miles, whether you finished or not!
