Kevin Rudd has been re-elected as the leader of Labor Party, 3 - TopicsExpress

Kevin Rudd has been re-elected as the leader of Labor Party, 3 years to the time he was deposed in the coup by Julia Gillard. He needs to survive the no-confidence motion on the floor of Parliament before commissioned as Prime Minister by Her Excellency Governor-General Quentin Bryce. Failure to get enough cross-bench support from the independents may result in the appointment of the Opposition leader as a caretaker PM until an election can be held. Under Australian Constitution, Julia Gillard still retains her PM title until she visits the Governor-General and her commission is ended.
