GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To provide an outstanding shopping experience to our customers through product knowledge, trend awareness and exceptional customer care. Assist in select daily operation in the absence of Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Sell merchandise to store customers in accordance with Company operational standards, policies and procedures • Provide respectful, attentive service to the guests throughout the store. Utilize dynamic communication skills to build and maintain guest relationships • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of store merchandise • Prepare merchandise for selling floor presentation maintaining brand integrity in all areas of visual displays • Receive and sort merchandise. Conduct inventory control. • Operate cash register for daily transactions and cash reconciliation complying with all register transaction and loss prevention policies • Perform store opening and closing procedures • Make bank deposits • Assist Store Manager in staff supervision in the absence of store management. • Maintain merchandising, organization and housekeeping standards in all areas of the store in accordance with company standards and management directives • Maintain cleanliness and organizational standards so that the store is a neat, clean and safe environment for all associates and customers • Collaborate and communicate in an effective and professional manner with all corporate and retail partners through all permissible media, including e-mail and telephone • Perform additional job duties/responsibilities as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • 1-3 years of retail store experience required • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred • Superior communication, presentation, and customer service skills • Strong knowledge of basic math functions • Ability to converse, read and write in English. Bilingual is a plus • Ability to work flexible shifts on days, nights, holidays and weekends according to the needs of the business • Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, frequently reach with hands and arms, twist, bend frequently, stoop, squat, lift and carry up to 15 pounds and push/pull up to 30 pounds; ability to climb ladders.
