Key Messages from My Presentation Tomorrow at the On-going National Youth Policy Review Consultative Meeting Titled: ‘Periscoping The Nasarawa State Youth Empowerment Scheme – The NAYES MODEL, the presentation is expected to trigger healthy debate and allowed other state to pick lessons - I dropped few slides here..... Why NAYES -To facilitate the repositioning of the youth sub-sector specifically to increase the access of unemployed youth to entrepreneurial skills and employment opportunities for self-reliance and income security - NAYES would be using economic incentives to promote social integration among youth as pillars of peace building programs and further strengthen political participation among youth alongside efforts to improve their economic independence. Results -1005 Youth Benefited from the ITF and Relevant Technology Training- they were graduated in Wamba Deecember 2013 and received start-up park worth 10 Million Naira -1470 Youth were trained as Nasarawa Marshals in Feb 2014 – popularly known as the NAYES, receiving monthly stipends -400 Youth were engaged with KEKE TA’AL -5 High Flyers Youth Benefited from ‘Cyber Crime Security Training’ in Partnership with Office of the First Lady – Dame Patience Jonathan -2000 Youth to be graduated soon from Relevant Tech Centers TAAL ID WORKING
