Keynote Speaker: Sunday, April 27 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CEDRIC RED FEATHER presents “Mandan #Ancient Wisdom & Prophecies” Cedric Red Feather, a Mandan Turtle Priest, will: explore the meanings of the #sacred directions and colors; explain the seven #spiritual realms of the Northern Plains #Indians, corresponding colors and animals; discuss spiritual autonomy and learning directly from the Guides; offer examples from his own way of life and spiritual realm; emphasize non-judgment and enlightenment; and reveal ancient Mandan #prophecies. Songs in five languages will be seamlessly integrated into Cedric’s presentation, including Mandan, French, Latin, Hebrew and Lakota. CEDRIC RED FEATHER is is a tribally-enrolled member of the MHA Nation (Mandan-Hidatsa-Arikara). He grew up on the Ft. Berthold Indian Reservation in North Dakota. Cedric graduated with a degree in Art from Minot State University and continued his studies at the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design, Institute of American Indian Art and the University of Memphis. Mr. Red Feather is a Purple-Heart decorated, combat-wounded Vietnam Veteran, and a member of the Mandan Blackmouth Soldier Society. He is a Nueta Waxikena (Mandan Turtle Priest) and Okipa Maker.
