Kgotsong. Lets talk about hair. I decided to keep my hair after not being able to answer myself one morning when I asked; why are you removing your hair?. I started observing that almost all black men were removing their hair. I asked some of them & they tell me its personal grooming preference & others say its too much work to comb, & others say its about neatness. I must admit it is a lot of work to groom it but then why are we born with it? There must be a purpose for hair. #AnthonyTBrowder in #FromTheBrowderFiles vol.1 writes that the purpose of our African hair is to protect us from the harsh ultraviolet rays on this motherland. I looked my pics with & without hair & I think I look like a pig without! I agree with trimming like what we do with nails but cheesekopo yona never! Prisoners hair is removed & I dont think they are given a choice. I suspect also that civilisation subtly subliminally suggests that removing our hair is making us look neater & better. Thus implying theres something wrong with our hair. It is Delilahrous for a woman to pressure a man to remove hair! Oh well, this is my last attempt to fight off the mounting pressure from all angles for me to remove my God-given beautiful black African hair. #SaveMYhair.
