Khilfat movement was started by Indian Muslims in 1919 against British govt. for re-establishing/protecting Khalifa (Caliphate). It should be noted that the movement was not for freedom of India. MK Gandhi supported the movement. The main agenda of ISIS is also re-establishing Khalifa (Caliphate). They have declared their leader as the new Khalifa (Caliphate). The only thing remaining is his global acceptance as Khalifa (Caliphate). Few Indian Muslims went to Iraq to join ISIS. One of them returned. One Indian guy was also detained for running pro-ISIS twitter handle. Shouldnt hardcore followers of MK Gandhi support ISIS as MK Gandhi had done in 1919? Should these arrested guys be treated as hero as MK Gandhi had treated Muslims who were leading Khilafat movement?
